Duties
As a Financial Data Analyst, you will:
Perform complex data analytics of programmatic, accounting, financial, and administrative data
Apply knowledge of quantitative analysis, financial management principles/policies and associated business processes, intelligent automation/robotic process automation, data visualization, and strong research skill and analytical aptitude to identify patterns and relationships in large data sets from multiple data sources.
Collaborate with stakeholders to devise data collection, to determine appropriate data sources, or to compile necessary data sets from pertinent data sources for research and analysis.
Devise accurate and timely quantitative analysis, ensuring all deliverables incorporate multiple lines of inquiry and are coordinated with pertinent stakeholders.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Using data science techniques on programmatic, accounting, financial, and administrative data to identify patterns and relationships in large data sets from multiple data sources for financial operations; AND
Creating/developing dashboards using data analytics software (e.g., PowerBI or Tableau) for financial reporting purposes; AND
Performing financial data analysis, financial reconciliations, and financial reporting (e.g., budgetary reporting).
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
