You will serve as a ENGINEERING SUPPORT ASSISTANCE (OA) in the G-F of MARINE CORPS BASE.

Duties

You will generate, monitor, and coordinate project status reports by reviewing and gathering data from many varied sources. You will work with standard office application computer programs for electronic spreadsheets and Word Processing, to create files, update data, sort data and print reports. You will communicate directly with MCIEAST Installation and Environment Departments for the purpose of obtaining status on projects, designs, engineering studies, and contracts. You will receive and direct visitors to appropriate staff, or personally provide the information requested if it is involved with routine of the office procedures. You will maintain accurate time and attendance records for department staff. You will keep Department staff calendars and schedules appointments and meeting in accordance with instructions.

  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
  • This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

Qualifications

(GS-07) Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing the planning and coordinating of specialized administrative project management functions and office administrative activities in support of an organization's daily mission. (GS-06) Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in clerical and administrative support functions and office administrative activities in support of an organization's daily mission. NOTE: You will serve dual roles as the Engineering Support Assistant for the Assistant Chief of Staff Marine Corp Installations, East Sub Region and for the Director Marine Corp Base, Camp Lejeune.
