About the Position: This is a PERMANENT Supply Technician (Training Devices) position with the USAG Fort Jackson, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobility and Security Training Division Support Branch located at Fort Jackson, SC.
ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND OPM PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK".
Duties
Incumbent performs a variety of technical and administrative work.
Conducts annual and monthly inventories to ensure 100% accountability.
Assists in the operations and administration of the Training Support Center.
Ensures that requesting units are authorized to request/receive equipment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to pass a full background investigation.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
- Incumbent must possess or be able to obtain and maintain forklift license within three months of hire.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience maintaining manual and automated records of various warehouse equipment; monitoring machine hardware for malfunctions; determining equipment and hardware malfunctions and take corrective action; checking incoming shipment; conducting inventories of parts and tools; utilizing pallet jacks, and issue, receive and store inventory. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
