About the Position: US Army Cadet Command, 7th Brigade Headquarters, Fort Knox, KY
Duties
Provide guidance and assistance in the administration of the ROTC Enrollment Eligibility Program and the Scholarship and Non-scholarship Retention/Disenrollment Program.
Review and evaluate scholarship and non-scholarship disenrollment board actions for administrative compliance and make a recommendation on legal sufficiency.
Analyze requests for exceptions to policy and appeals under the enrollment/retention/disenrollment criteria of the ROTC program.
Review, analyze and interpret statutes, regulations, directives, and other instructions from the Department of the Army, Department of Defense and other echelons and notes any changes affecting operational matters of the programs.
Review and respond directly to inquiries from the general public, Presidential/White House correspondence, etc., concerning the management of cadet enrollment eligibility program and the scholarship disenrollment/retention program.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 15% of the time.
- May be required to complete a one year probationary period.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work of this job. Specialized experience is defined as: work that involves experience in applying the principles, practices, and procedures involved in providing advisory services; experience in identifying problems, report findings, make conclusions, and recommend corrective or appropriate action; experience compiling statistics and analyzing data and recommending using applicable software packages; devising new methods of office automation support and/or resolve problems with current automation methods. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
Education

Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. OR J.D. if directly related to the position being filled. (
