About the Position: This position is located in the Joint Personal Property Shipment Office on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, in Washington State.
Duties
Responsible for certification and direct payment of invoices such as Bills of Lading, Direct Procurement Method , Local Moves, and Non-Temporary Storage (NTS) shipments.
Prepare and reconcile monthly invoices submitted by Third Party Service using automated system.
Serve as senior assistant, preparing reports and maintaining records as required by supervisor.
Prepare Government Bills of Lading (GBL) and support documents to support the movement of personal property.
Review travel orders for proper accounting appropriations and identifying information.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing shipping documents to determine appropriate arrangement and disposition; and screening orders for correct appropriation and authorization for shipment.
