This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence-Assets Forfeiture. As a PROGRAM ANALYST, you will be involved in a variety of analytical activities relating to the Department of the Treasury's Asset Forfeiture program.
Duties
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. As a PROGRAM ANALYST, you will:
- Analyze forfeiture policies relating to equity requirements, official use of forfeited property, mitigation/remission guidelines, equitable sharing criteria and any other related topics for sufficiency, consistency, and compliance with Presidential and Departmental policy.
- Review existing and proposed legislation and regulations regarding the asset forfeiture program and provides analysis or formal critiques of the effect of such legislation and regulations on program policies, standards and procedures.
- Conduct research and gather information from other Treasury agenciesto develop procedures for identifying and reconciling disputesor conflicts affecting the Asset Forfeiture program.
- Evaluates proposals submitted by various agencies or offices for consistency with Department policies, plans and objectives.
- Participate in the planning, initiation, conduct or coordination of studies and evaluations targeted at specific identifiable problems or impediments to efficient operation of the Asset Forfeiture program.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience for the GS-9: To qualify at the GS-9 level, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes ALL of the following:
- Assisting with review of correspondence, data, proposals, or policies then making recommendations; AND
- Preparing reports or written products.
OR
You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: A Master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
You may qualify by a combination of experience and education.
