This position is located in a regional office within one of the six (6) regions of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). The purpose of the OFCCP is to enforce, for the benefit of job seekers and wage earners, the contractual promise of affirmative action and equal employment opportunity required of those who do business with the Federal Government.
Duties

Major Duties:
Serves as the Staff Assistant to the Regional Director (RD) and assists with ensuring that the practices and procedures used by support staff, in subordinate offices, are consistent with those of the RDs office.
Updates and maintains telephone directories, email, and other electronic communication devices for the Director.
Assists with the administrative/customer service functions daily for the immediate office.
Ensures administrative/customer service practices and procedures used by district offices are consistent with the viewpoints, policies, and priorities of the RD and the agency as a whole.
Participates in studies of administrative/customer service work processes throughout the district offices to help identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to problems in the procedures, processes, and workload distribution.
Reviews and recommends changes and guidance with management input on techniques to
improve the region's overall administrative services and functions to ensure the customer-based expectations comply with departmental and agency expectations and goals.
Liaison with the Regional Outreach Coordinator to identify and contact community-based organizations to develop and maintain regional relationships with vulnerable populations.

Requirements

Qualifications
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.

GS-09: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-07, in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is defined as an applicant having all 3 statements below:
1. Experience coordinating travel arrangements to include preparing travel requests and authorizations.
2. Experience managing calendars in order to make meeting arrangements and resolve meeting conflicts.
3. Experience responding to inquiries from internal and/or external stakeholders.
GS-11: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-09, in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is defined as an applicant having a minimum of 4 of the 5 statements below:
1. Experience coordinating travel arrangements to include preparing travel requests and authorizations.
2. Experience managing calendars in order to make meeting arrangements and resolve meeting conflicts.
3. Experience responding to inquiries from internal and/or external stakeholders.
4. Experience communicating with a variety of personnel in administrative management and support.
5. Experience preparing reports, memos and/or briefing materials and presenting information to management.
Education
