This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS), Regional Office Management Information Group, in the Dallas, Texas Regional Office, of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Salary reflects a pay cap for this position of $275,000.

Duties

Leads and manages organizational changes and proactively works to provide leadership in support of corporate initiatives, particularly in cases where there is resistance to change or cultural obstacles to change. Publicly supports and takes personal responsibility for implementing FDIC values, policies, and programs. Initiates programs and practices to achieve organizational objectives and goals. Applies initiative and creativity to achieve new and changing work objectives and priorities. Builds teams with different and varied skill sets to accomplish objectives and goals, including establishment of measurable criteria for evaluating performance and tracking progress. Leads the development and implementation of monitoring systems to track changes or unusual trends in the region's financial institutions. Oversees the performance of research and preparation of special studies or reports for regional management on various topics ranging from staffing to specific banking issues. Oversees the regional management reporting function for both divisions (RMS/DCP), including offsite monitoring systems, examination scheduling and tracking, and resource utilization. Manages regional information security processes including oversight of application access. Serves as the main point of contact (POC) with the Division of Information Technology (DIT) Project Management Office (PMO). This includes approving changes in the application of project management for capital investment projects and significant operating budget projects and building the business imperative for adopting these changes. Maintains effective working relationships with RMS/DCP staff and with personnel from other divisions to oversee the development of information systems and resolution of issues related to requirements, operational analysis, data collection, information sharing, and system implementation. In particular, this includes maintaining effective relationships with peers from other regions and RMS/DCP headquarters so that the collective skills and expertise of ROMIG staff nationwide can be leveraged, as necessary, to meet efficient/accurate data collection and key reporting objectives and requirements. Works closely with senior Washington and Regional management, Field management, and other RMS/DCP staff in order to determine informational components, security protocols, and system requirements needed for managing, developing, and overseeing management information and decision support systems. Serves as liaison with other units or divisions on information system and security issues. Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications, applicants must possess the leadership and technical experiences listed below. These qualifications would typically be gained through serving in roles that require managing projects/teams or guiding the technical work of others. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Leadership Experience: Experience in leading and coordinating projects, including establishing expectations, reviewing work products/services, monitoring progress, and providing guidance and feedback to team members. Technical Experience: Experience overseeing and supporting data management information needs; coordinating with managers and other program stakeholders to develop budgets, schedules, digital software tools, and/or resource requirements for a variety of technical programs, projects or initiatives; performing in-depth analysis of financial institution data and preparing complex technical reports for management.
