DCSA's Facility Management Office (FMO) is seeking a Facilities Operations Specialist. In this role you will serve as a Team Leader and integrate FMO's strategic plan, mission, and vision into the team's strategies, work plans, and services. You will also serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) on various contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for those with knowledge & experience providing expertise in areas of maintenance systems and facility planning projects.

Duties

As a FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties: Serves as the DCSA Facility Operations Specialist expert on facility maintenance initiatives and strategies including a Special Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). Provides expertise in the area of maintenance systems of major facility planning projects, formulating efficient and economical space management and utilization plans. Ensure proper interface between all DCSA and BI leadership is obtained and met on a regular basis. Resolves controversial, unprecedented and urgent problems encountered in facilities. Studies directives and regulations for long-range proposals, plans and budgets for facility upgrades and improvements threat event.

Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GG/GS 09 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience applying a comprehensive range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning facility administration sufficient to evaluate, adapt, or modify procedures and practices concerning property, facilities, mechanical, utility and fire alarm systems, buildings, equipment, plans, and grounds. Experience communicating, developing, and presenting effectively with a team/group or customers on problems and projects to be solved in narrative and/or statistical format. Experience leading a team for project completion to include daily oversight and training. Experience providing expertise in areas of maintenance systems and facility planning projects while also solving complex facility technical problems through application of non-traditional theories and new developments. Project Planning, Design, and Construction- Identify and validate facilities projects with customers to meet mission requirements. 5. Accountability-Holds self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results. Determines objectives, sets priorities, and delegates work. Accepts responsibility for mistakes. Complies with established control systems and rules.
