About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command U.S. Army Counterintelligence Command HQ Fort Meade, MD.

Duties

Ensuring that all necessary maintenance, repairs, alterations or modifications are accomplished for the building, installed equipment and mechanical systems, and grounds. Supporting a variety of service functions for building operations, maintenance, repair and alteration programs covering a range of electrical and mechanical (HVAC) to existing buildings or renovation projects. Monitoring documented space assignments and conducts inspections to ensure compliance with space utilization, management and maintenance/upkeep. Ensuring that prescribed internal control procedures are followed to preclude fraud, waste, and abuse of resources.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a single scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass the Army Defensive Driver's Training Course.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-appointment physical.
  • May be required to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

Specialized experience is defined as experience with 1) providing assistance in managing, monitoring, coordinating, and integrating the day-to-day building operations; 2) executing a preventive maintenance program to limit breakdowns and system failures to critical building services; AND 3) assisting with planning projects and formulation of efficient and economical space management and utilization plans.
