This position is located in the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships, of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support for various administrative and personnel activities, and will be located in the Washington Office. Duties
Performs analytical studies for the purpose of providing solutions to personnel/administrative problems within Division of Insurance and Research (DIR).
Administers the staffing, recruitment, and personnel management functions for the Division. Writes position descriptions, vacancy announcements, and ensures accuracy and timely flow of paperwork through proper channels for staffing and recruitment actions.
Participates in projects related to division space management, utilization of equipment, security, and makes recommendations concerning effectiveness of office services.
Responsible for preparing reports relating to personnel management activities and, when necessary, making presentation of materials.
Maintains liaison with administrative, managerial, and executive personnel within the Division to ensure knowledge and understanding of respective staff functions.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade level 12 or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing leadership advice and guidance for administrative management programs, including at least two of the following areas: (1) personnel management (2) position management (3) organizational planning (4) space and facilities management and/or (5) analytical problem solving and reporting at the corporate or division level.
