This position is located in the Division of Finance, Treasury Branch, in Headquarters of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of accounting, financial, and employee services.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. To qualify, applicants must meet one of the following: Qualify based on EXPERIENCE: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 07 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience performing analyses of accounting or finance data to support program policies and procedures. -OR- Qualify based on EDUCATION: To qualify based on education, applicants must possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field of study that demonstrated the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work. OR Two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate degree in a related field of study that demonstrated the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work, OR a LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR A combination of experience and education equivalent to the amount required. All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
