About the Position: This position is under the Supervision of the Supply Chain Integration Directorate, Order Management Div Distribution & Inventory Execution Branch.

Duties

Uses Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to perform inventory management duties. Coordinates the annual inventory for all accountable government property, including physical inventory and validation of all assets, verification of transferred assets, and reviewing all lost or stolen assets.. Utilizes a partnering approach with the acquisition community to integrate supply planning from the initiation of product development to culmination of life to ensure the Integrated Product Support (IPS). Provides customer support services and maintains accountability of command inventory of secondary items. Supports the development of and implementation of outcome-based inventory support strategies that optimize supply chain management principles to enhance system readiness and life cycle cost affordability. When required by the PEO/PM, adjudicates inventory discrepancies for PEO/PM owned inventory managed within the ERP system. Tracks all physical assets by managing, regulating, coordinating, or exercising control over supplies, equipment, or other material property/assets. Responsible for recommending multiple solutions to management regarding property disposal challenges, improving the inventory program or related special projects, and conducting inventory and catalog searches. . Recommends updates to current practices, policies, and procedures affecting inventory and logistics support matters, supply disposition, and workflow improvement. Reviews product quality deficiency reports (PQDR) to determine disposition and substitutions of equipment to meet desired requirements. Influences system design by evaluating inventory planning principles to the supply support plan which will allow the Program/Product Manager’s to provide timely, affordable, effective, and best-value product support throughout the system life cycle. Supports supply chain management integration across the IPS Elements to optimize repair parts (Class II and IX) for system suitability, affordability, reliability, availability, maintainability and effectiveness throughout the life cycle. Manages and delivers repairable products and services through the IPS Elements to enable and sustain systems for operational readiness. Adjusts assigned work based on established organizational priorities to meet deadlines. Monitors and reports on the status and progress of assignments to supervisor and supported functional supply chain personnel. Serves as a team member on various projects and actively participates in organized group meetings and committees responsible for completing special projects and providing guidance and information about and inventory management functions. Provides supported supply chain personnel with accurate, reliable data to determine the proper disposal of unneeded equipment, stock, or property. Prepares and coordinates recurring and logistics management reports (e. g., reports of inventory gains and losses). Participates in inventory reconciliation process to ensure accurate inventory reports and provides recommendations to support planning and programming for future requirements. Supports the weapon system manager in the development and documentation of the inventory planning for the supply support strategy, in applicable documentation, in accordance with policy and regulatory guidance.
