You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Financial Management Department of NAVMED OPER TRNG CENTER.

Duties

You will analyze data for various financial reports (e.g., budget formulation, budget execution, accounting, audit readiness). You will maintain accounting documents, transactions, and adjustments as source documentation for audits. You will review reports to identify required corrections and adjustments to accounting systems and memoranda records. You will monitor and report personnel cost data in a financial management system. You will use the Standard Accounting, Budgeting and Reporting System (SABRS) or similar system to oversee financial accounts, distribute authority, and draft authorization memorandums.

Requirements

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing automated systems (e.g., management information system, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) to extract information; Experience assisting with clerical and administrative functions to support the needs of the organization; Experience preparing reports and maintaining documents in electronic files for easy retrieval; Experience verifying evaluations for accuracy prior to submission to BUPERS; AND Experience reviewing forms and instructions ensuring they are approved and controlled. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
