About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support.
Duties
Perform initial and in-process inspection in field locations and on site repair, modification, overhaul and/or rebuild of the complete systems of electronics and related equipment.
Work independently or as a on site team member (CONUS or OCONUS) as a multi-skill inspector responsible for maintaining integrated electronic systems, electrical, mechanical, electro-optical, hydraulic assemblies and subassemblies of weapon systems.
Overhaul, repair, rebuild, modify, troubleshoot, adjust, install, test, inspect, fabricate, design/devise, and maintain complex electronic integrated systems.
Perform functional tests of all components in the turret including electrical, mechanical, pneudraulic, electro-mechanical, electro-optics, and electronic fire control systems.
Test, inspect, troubleshoot, make final repair and correct defects on a variety of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Investigate causes of critical or major defects and assures corrective action is taken.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a Tier 1, Non-Sensitive, Low Risk suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Testing Program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R, Condition of Employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program.
- A soldering certificate needs to be completed every two years.
- A pre-employment physical is required.
- Occasional travel is required up to 10% of time.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Electronic Integrated System Repair Inspector without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to inspect. I have performed full range of maintenance work on aircraft integrated electrical or electronic systems, subsystems, components, and subassemblies within heavy structural (wire change modification) and assembly and disassembly. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

Physical Conditions: Work requires frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lifts heavier items with assistance. Employee is expected to climb onto equipment, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel and stand for extended periods of time. Works, as required, in cramped or awkward positions. Occasionally work in high places may be required.
Working Conditions: Work is usually performed in well-lighted, heated and ventilated areas. Exposed to dirt, grease, dust, exhaust fumes, and high noise levels. Subject to the possibility of injury such as cuts, bruises, burns, electrical shock, and falls from equipment. Work may be performed outside in inclement weather and at field locations while on frequent TDY assignments.
