About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support.
Duties
Utilize a variety of complex and sensitive electrical, electronics, countermeasures, optical, radar and infrared test sets, test stands, hot mock-up, and other airborne diagnostic test equipment.
Determine the objectives of rebuild, repair, modification have been achieved (involves evaluation of individual and simultaneous performance within specific ranges, and the evaluation of the validity and reliability of test results.
Perform visual and dimensional check of the aircraft systems to detect loose or broken connections; damaged or defective parts; corrosion of the integral integrated electronic, and contributing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
Perform diagnostic troubleshooting analysis, repair, modification, testing of integration and final alignment of the electronic aircraft systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must maintain annual certification required for handling of ordnance.
- This position will fill 2nd Shift.
- This position requires a Secret clearance (Tier 3).
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random drug testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to perform common Electronics Integrated Systems Mechanic without more than normal supervision. Resumes will be reviewed for experience and/or training which provided skills and knowledge of the following performing troubleshooting analysis, repair, modification, and/or testing of electronic and electrical aircraft systems. Performing the full range of maintenance work on rotary wing aircraft electronics, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and instrument systems. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work assignments involve frequent standing, sitting, climbing, bending, and working in cramped and awkward positions. Lifts items weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance, and over 35 pounds with assistance from another worker or weight handling equipment. May be required to work in cramped and confined spaces.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is at times performed in aircraft under conditions of heat or cold outside in inclement weather, subject to shop hazards and burns, cuts and bruises, and hazards while in flying status. Occasionally, work in high places may be required. Required to utilize protective clothing and safety equipment in the performance of assigned duties, e.g., shoes, glasses, goggles, gloves, hard-hat. Hazardous working conditions will be compensated by Environmental Differential Pay (EDP).
