About the Position: Serves as Security Cooperation Planning Specialist for the Plans, Exercises, and Security Cooperation Division, United States Army Alaska.
Duties
Serves as the principle contact for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and supervising participation in all designated security cooperation engagements.
Develops security cooperation engagement objectives, control plans, transportation plans, and support requirements that enable each engagement to provide the most training benefit.
Provides detailed guidance for travel orders to enable participation that captures required uniforms, inoculations, medical supplies, passports and visas, photos, flight data, and foreign country clearance requirements.
Prepares and provides strategy and policy briefings to select audiences
Requirements
- Incumbent must either possess or be able to obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance.
- Travel in theater of approximately 10% of the time may be required.
- This position is "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes assisting in the planning, coordinating, and/or evaluating of military training/exercise plans in support of security cooperation efforts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
