You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST within HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will receive calls, greet visitors, and direct to the appropriate staff member or Director.
You will maintain and update daily and future appointment schedules for the Director and Deputy Director.
You will serve as the Executive Assistant in ensuring all outgoing correspondence and other material is accurate.
You will develop, receive and process all foreign awards.
You will review and approve all Defense Travel Systems (DTS) Travel authorization and vouchers.
You will manage and execute the budget for directorate.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
GS-11
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Reviewing and approving all travel authorization and vouchers in order to arrange transportation, reservations and adjustments for changes in itinerary; collaborating with financial analyst to plan and execute annual budget; maintaining and updating daily and future appointment/schedules in order to brief managers of rescheduling appointments, new or urgent request/special messages and all forthcoming events, meeting and visits; reviewing all outgoing correspondence, ensuring proper distribution of correspondence and maintaining current mailing/distribution list when preparing final formats for approval/signature.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting management in maintaining office calendar of events and appointments; assisting management in personnel related administrative support procedures; ensuring office correspondence is in accordance with established administrative procedures; assisting higher grade specialist in preparation of travel authorization and vouchers.

master's or equivalent graduate degree

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
