About the Position: Serves as a Senior Training Specialist under the general guidance of the Brigade Supervisory Training Specialist and Deputy to the Brigade Commander for the 30th Air Defense Artillery Brigade. The incumbent of this position will manage the ADA Training Requirements Analysis System (TRAS) program and the Structure Manning Decision Review (SMDR) processes and develop a realistic estimate of the resources required to ensure program effectiveness.
Duties
Integrate data from analytical processes such as the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE) process into automated documents.
Validate and document resource requirements utilizing planning and management programs/processes such as the Training Requirements Analysis System (TRAS) program and the Structure Manning Decision Review (SMDR) processes.
Working knowledge of foreign disclosure policy, security cooperation policies and programs.
Keep abreast of best practices, ongoing research, and theory in the fields of training, education, and English Language Learners.
Review existing courses and educational material to determine if modifications are required.
Manage suspense records of class starts, commencement, graduation, training schedules, input, and output of students, and follow-up to assure completion by required dates.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position required the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station.
- The employee must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Implement and manage actions related to planning, programming, scheduling, and resourcing of training for a military origination. 2) Develop and document resource requirements for training programs. 3) Submit documentation into various resource systems for timely acquisition of necessary resources. 4) Review and validate the quality of assigned courses and training material through site visits, review of evaluation questionnaires, and analysis of available data.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
