This position provides administrative and liaison support for Acute Care (ACN) and Extended Care and Mental Health (EC/MH) Services.
Duties
Major Duties:
Prepare administrative correspondence covering both internal and external subject matters.
Maintain accuracy of database, queries system in response to management and employee questions and requests for information.
Use graphics software to provide charts, and graphs for viewgraphs or paper presentations or briefings.
Maintain awareness of status and suspense deadlines.
Accurately and promptly transmits and receives documents and messages electronically.
Operate related peripheral equipment such as printers and scanners as required.
Schedule appointments and makes arrangements for time, participants, and locations of meetings.
Receives and logs outgoing correspondence, reviewing it for correct format, punctuation, spelling, grammatical accuracy, factual correctness, enclosures, dates, signatures, complete addresses, etc.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 09/22/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: experience in program administration and management; assistance with day-to-day operational duties; Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with variety of individuals; Problem solve and apply decision making skills. sustaining processes and procedures to ensure program effectiveness; interpreting, analyzing, and responding to requests for information from internal and external entities; collecting, compiling, managing, and reporting program data; preparing correspondence and reports; utilizing automated software (such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).

Physical Requirements: The work is normally sedentary, but includes some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items such as papers and books. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
