About the Position: This position supervises Regional Operations Chief (ROC) Cell staff and Systems Technical Representatives (STRs) within the region. Has delegated authority for planning, coordinating, and directing technical assistance services and support for CECOM and the Army Medical Logistics Command (AMLC) within a geographic region.

Duties

Manages the execution of technical assistance activities. Manages the Logistics Assistance Representatives assigned to the Logistics Assistance Program (LAP) within a geographic region. Monitors the workload of Logistics Assistance Representatives, Field Service Representatives, Field Software Engineers, and other technical personnel providing technical assistance. Plans and executes technical assistance activities to improve and sustain the material readiness of equipment and software for supported units within a geographic region.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Position is Emergency Essential (EE) in support of the US Forces during periods of increasing tension, mobilization, and war (Chapter 75, Title 5 USC; Federal Personnel Manual [FPM] Chapter 753).
  • May be required to deploy to, and remain in, hostile zones during crisis situations or mobilization, which may require flying in military aircraft.
  • Will be required to live under field conditions: in tents consuming field rations such as Meals Ready to Eat (MREs).
  • Single parents or families, where both parents are EE, are required to prepare and present their supervisor an approved family care plan.
  • May be on-call, work irregular hours, accompany the assigned unit during technical and training field exercises, and deploy to contingency areas to support the Command's weapon systems.
  • The employee is required to sign a mobility agreement, Army Materiel Command (AMC) Form 2884, IAW AMC-Regulation (R) 700-19.
  • May be required to wear military type uniforms, Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE), and Chemical Defense Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) specific to an operation or as directed by the Command.
  • Valid State driver’s license is required to obtain a military and/or international driver’s license for exercises, deployments, or assignment to a foreign duty station.
  • Must meet current physical and functional requirements IAW AMC-R 700-19 and the current Mission Operations Director (MOD) to US Central Command (USCENTCOM) Individual Protection and Individual-Unit Deployment Policy, prior to employment and annually.
  • Responsible for ensuring no medical, dental, vision, or other health-related restrictions could prevent a deployment.
  • Must maintain all required immunizations. If required, the employee will receive a series of vaccines to include Anthrax and annual boosters. Failure to receive vaccines may result in removal from the position.
  • Cannot be a Reserve Component or National Guard member subject to recall to active duty. The employee must report military recall status to management to effect removal from the Ready Reserve or exemption from retiree call-up.
  • Must maintain a valid "No Fee" (Official) and a Tourist Passport at all times, at the agency’s expense.
