This position is announced by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers on behalf of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Secretary, Under Secretary for Management, Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer (CRSO). CRSO is responsible for unified headquarters consolidation strategy and policy for DHS and conducts strategic planning analysis, and development in support of the DHS strategic consolidation plan.
Duties
The position is located in Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Under Secretary for Management, Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer, Sustainability and Environmental Programs (SEP) in Washington, DC. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an expert analyst for the Environmental Planning and Historic Preservation (EPHP) Program.to include providing a complete range of technical and program management services in support of integrating environmental considerations into program decision making throughout DHS.

- This position requires you to have access, safeguard, and store classified national security information on a regular basis. You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

At the GS-13 grade level:
You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level performing the following: 1) Evaluating environmental program effectiveness and needs by conducting studies; 2) Applying knowledge of environmental conditions, impacts, and protection to develop and implement environmental training; 3) Conducting compliance oversight by maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local Environmental Planning and Historic Preservation (EPHP) laws and regulations; 4) Advising senior officials on how to integrate the Environmental Planning and Historic Preservation (EPHP) Program to meet agency objectives.
At the GS-12 grade level:
You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level performing the following: 1) Reviewing program plans to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local Environmental Planning and Historic Preservation (EPHP) laws and regulations; 2) Monitoring ongoing projects to ensure they are environmentally sound and are completed on time and within budget; 3) Modifying established environmental methods and procedures to apply to emerging difficulties.

The Office of Personnel Management must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
