This position is in Office of Land and Emergency Management (OLEM); Office of Brownfields and Land Revitalization (OBLR). About the Office of Land and Emergency Management | US EPA. This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.*Work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized as described in the Benefits section.

Qualifications

NOTE:  You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as developing and implementing partnerships for environmental protection programs; reviewing grants, cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements, including monitoring performance; creation and evaluation of information with issues of concern.Your application package will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws and regulations related to EPA’s Brownfields Program Skill in applying a wide range of methods used to gather, analyze, and evaluate regulations Skill in managing special projects/teams/workgroups Ability to serve as an advocate for tribal nations Ability to analyze and evaluate methods and techniques for program development, and improvement Skill in oral communication Skill in written communication Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
