About the Position: Serves in the Army Intermodal and Distribution Platform Management Office (AIDPMO) branch of SDDC G4. The incumbent will coordinate with and assist customers on the full spectrum of intermodal container management functions, including inventory, inspections, and maintenance.
Duties
Plan and manage major Army logistical information programs and systems by evaluating and analyzing requirements from functional and program specialists and from logistical concepts, policies, plans and programs.
Conduct data collection through field visits, written requests, extraction from Army databases and telephonic discussions
Project include all aspects of transportation, maintenance and supply of intermodal equipment evaluating overall efficiencies and effectiveness in order to set policy and procedures at the Department of the Army level.
Plan and develop new projects, conducts initial research and analysis to define the problems and to determine depth of analysis needed.
Lead projects and staff studies on complex issues addressing the Army-wide Distribution Platform Program.
Develope project status, issues, conclusions; recommendations are presented to management officials in a format compatible with Army goals and guidelines.
Provide advice on complex equipment intermodal equipment systems problems.
Apply comprehensive knowledge of Army organizational missions, objectives, and procedures related inventory, maintenance, transportation, and leasing of intermodal equipment, and computerized related systems.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Temporary Duty Travel up to 25% of the time is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Analyzing logistical information in support of a container program, 2) performing analysis, evaluating problems, and/or developing solutions utilizing Army and/or DOD information systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).
