About the Position: Serve as a the Program Manager and the Liaison Officer for planning and coordination of all specialized conferences. Conduct detailed analysis of functions, regulations and processes to prepare and organize staff. Supervise and lead planning and coordination of social functions, ceremonies and receptions.

Duties

Ensures guidelines for the Conference of the American Armies (CAA) are adhered to by all participants. Manage large amounts complex data and create advance platforms to manage said data. Conducts technical research in science and technology for government contracts. Completes periodic reviews for CAA activities.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position requires a Security Clearance at the Secret Level, as the incumbent will be required to access, process, use and safeguard classified National Defense information.
  • This position has a TDY travel requirement up to 40%.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) required, (Portuguese) desired.
  • The duties of this position require nearly daily contact with representatives from armies in the Western Hemisphere. Fluency in Spanish is required to effectively engage with day- to-day actions.
  • The position requires compliance with DoD Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) Certification.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
