Duties
Serves as the Special Events Coordinator and Production Manager for Army Entertainment, delivers programs at the Installation - garrison level.
Provides and supports Major Command events, responsible for the planning and executing of community special events that respond to the needs and interests of the military/civilian population.
Special events implemented include community wide events; 4th of July Celebration; Army Soldier Show; Army Concert Tour Comedy events, ticket sales and tours as well as volunteer-based Music and Theatre productions, etc.
Devises, improvises, and adapts activities to the wide range of participant's interest and needs considering limitation of funds, facilities, equipment, volunteers, staff support, etc., available.
Provides advice to program managers and technicians in support to ensure quality standards are met in tour management.
Requirements

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Work conditions may require prolonged standing, heat, humidity, cold, prolonged exposure to sunlight, and an extended duty day.
- Ability to work an irregular schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and split-shifts.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Work experience and/or education related to the duties to be performed.
Work requires the use of physical exertion when preparing for and overseeing events.
Must be able to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items.
Highly Preferred Qualifications
1. Ability to plan, coordinate, schedule, implement and execute multi-faceted special events on a large scale.
2. Knowledge of budget preparation and execution, contracting and contract execution.
3. Experience with special event venue preparation, establishment, breakdown and retrograde.
4. Ability to develop, construct, communicate orally and in writing, Standard Operating Procedures, Letters of Instruction, official correspondence, and briefings.
5. Experience in travel office booking cruises, tours, etc.
