You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (DATA MANAGEMENT) in the DON Naval Criminal Investigative Service NCIS of NCIS.
Duties
You will ensures the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of data engineering products/services.
You will keep abreast of new information technologies applicable to NCIS systems and data engineering.
You will implement continuous improvements to efficiency and effectiveness.
You will inform/Advise IT experts in various specialties within the Cyber Directorate or NCIS on Cyber Directorate data engineering issues that involve applying or adapting standards, methods or practices in support of Cyber Directorate operations.
You will write papers or prepares/presents briefings within the Cyber Directorate or NCIS to inform-advise-persuade others.
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area DOD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) level Advanced within 12 months of appointment.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. In addition, specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience building the infrastructure and processes required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
Experience developing and maintaining data applications programming interfaces (APIs), extract-transform-load (ETL) processes, and data integration systems.
Experience identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, reliability, and quality.
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Your experience must also reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. In addition, specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience performing database design and maintenance to identify optimization and process improvement opportunities.
Experience assuring data integrity and compliance with security policies, principles and practices.
Experience utilizing a wide range of databases and common/specialized software to perform IT analyst/developer work as well as administrative work (communicate, word process, record, prepare presentations, etc.)
Basic Requirements:
