This position is located The Research & Analysis Center (TRAC). TRAC's work program is aligned with the highest priorities of the Commander, Army Futures Command (AFC) and the Chief of Staff of the Army. TRAC studies have underpinned the key decisions made by the Army and DOD regarding nearly every major Army initiative and program since TRAC's inception in 1986, enabling new Army capabilities and investments valued in the hundreds of billions.

Duties

Serves as a Primary Hand Receipt Holder for TRAC@FLVN and Supply Technician for TRAC-FLVN responsible for providing technical assistance in all areas of supply and logistics management. Plans and develops policies, procedures, and instructions for logistics support to include material management and TDA equipment. Serves as a Government Purchase Card Holder. Manages Repairs and Utilities (R and U) for TRAC@FLVN. Assists with coordinating for repairs and keeps log of all requests and statuses. Ensures property inventories are conducted and documentation is maintained to account for office furniture throughout TRAC@FLVN.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
  • This position requires obtaining and maintaining a valid State or US territory driver’s license.
  • This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete a pre-employment physical and yearly thereafter.
  • May require lifting of supplies/materials weighing 50-75 pounds.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying knowledge of supply regulations sufficient to maintain accountability of government equipment; 2) Applying knowledge of automated supply system sufficient to research and verify property accounting processes; and 3) Preparing procedures for annual inventories and participating in the inventory process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-06. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Supply PlanningTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
