You will serve as a Electronics Mechanic Leader in the Ship Control/Interior Communication (IC)/Tactical Navigation (TACNAV) Systems Repair Shop (51C), Electronic Repair Division (TRF-730), Weapons Repair Department (TRF-700) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.
Duties
You will coordinate and execute electrical and electronic work performed on submarine projects.
You will determine production requirements by analyzing charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports.
You will troubleshoot electronic equipment using drawings, specifications, and schematics of complete systems.
You will perform quality assurance inspections on electronic work completed by peers..
You will communicate electronic work requirements with supervisors and employees to maintain a balanced workload, meet deadlines, and increase efficiency.
You will coordinate with electronic mechanics and supervisors to maintain status of work progress and to meet schedules.
You will accomplish work in accordance with instructions provided by higher graded employees.
You will follow electronics trade requirements to accomplish assigned tasks.
You will instruct employees on principles, practices, and repair of electronic equipment.
You will manage work orders for electronics jobs in accordance with a master production schedule.
You will follow electronic trade safety practices and guidelines in completing assignments.
You will keep work area clean and organized while performing work.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current IT-II level designation certification.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to perform occasional sea duty.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability To lead or provide first level supervision: directing, coordinating jobs to meet production goals; Ability to plan coordinate and/or provide training to maintain workforce requirements; Ability to monitor quality workmanship of employees to ensure compliance with regulations; Ability to troubleshoot and repair Ship Control, Hovering, Missile Compensation & trim and/or Drain Systems to meet operations specifications; Ability to troubleshoot and/or repair interior Communication (IC) Systems, Tactical Navigation (TANAV) Systems, Atmosphere Control & Monitoring Systems, and Command & Control (CSS) Systems to meet operational needs; Ability to repair submarines to meet production and/or command goals; Ability to utilize measuring and testing equipment for the repair of ship/ submarine systems; Ability to communicate clearly with others verbally and/or in writing to ensure clarity of mission and objectives.
