You will serve as a Financial/Management Analyst in the Operations Department Command Business Office at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NAVSURFWARCENDLD). This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-3 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-09 and GS-10. The NT-2 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-05 and GS-08.

Duties

You will provide support to various Command and Operations Departments aiding in budget development, support monitoring of expenditures, processing of procurement transactions. You will enter data for the accepting/rejecting of funding documents, cost transfers, accruals, and aiding in Tri-Annual Review updates and completion. You will support in the analyzation of financial data and provide financial assistance to line management, program management and other personnel within the Command organization. You will obtain an understanding of a Navy Working Capital Fund Organization, funds management and analysis (within both direct cite and reimbursable funding constructs). You will review financial data to identify possible trends to track expenditures for metrics.

Qualifications

For the NT-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-02 (GS-05/08 equivalency) or grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting in collecting data and analyzing business financial management activities. For the NT-02: Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing administrative support work that demonstrates the ability to: analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing. For the NT-03: A master's or equivalent graduate degree.

Two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree.
