About the Position: This vacancy exists within the office of the PEO CS & CSS Force Projection. Positions will be specifically located in the PEO CS&CSS, Force Projection. However, the referral list generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in the PEO CS&CSS and PEO GCS with locations at Warren, MI and/or Selfridge, MI.

Duties

Exercises management control of all functional inputs to the program. Develops plans for accomplishment of assigned projects. Develops and establishes the controls necessary to manage internal operations, matrix support and the support of other command and agencies. Maintains a continuous up to date cognizance of all aspects of project(s). Identifies problem areas and determines and directs action necessary to accomplish the project plan and objectives. Provides the central point of contact to ensure coordinated and responsive action to all issues. Oversees coordination between assigned program(s) and other systems. Maintains direct channel communications with system users and the user community. Attends high level conference and meetings with representatives of DoD, DA, AMC and other commands and agencies.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management - Practitioner within 60 months as of entrance on duty
  • This is a Temporary position intended to last 5 Years. This Position may be extended up to 5 years and may be terminated at any time during the duration of the appointment, depending upon the needs of management. This position may be made permanent.
  • This is a Non-Key Security Cooperation (SC) position based on the duties and responsibilities. The position requires DoD SC Workforce (SCW) Certification.
  • The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within the time frame associated with the position's SCW certification level: SC Acquisition Management (AOC) ADVANCED Level

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 or (GS-11 equivalent)grade level in the Federal service which includes: (1) managing new systems development, production and fielding; (2) coordinating system development, product improvement plans, and system modification; (3) planning and directing a systems acquisition program to ensure cost/schedule/performance goals are met; (4) evaluating the work of personnel from contractors and other supporting activities to approve, disapprove or modify data (i.e. reports, drawings, specification, configuration changes, etc.); and (5) providing advice, and/or assistance to senior PM personnel on any products assigned (such as resources, budget revisions, project milestones, financial objectives, etc.). The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 (or GS-11equivalent). All Current Federal Employees MUST attach a current SF-50 for consideration. Without a SF-50, your application will be considered incomplete. Position may be filled as a temporary promotion, detail, or temporary change to lower grade NTE 5 years by a current permanent Army employee. This Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 5 years, if the candidate is NOT a current permanent Army employee. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of six years, and may be made permanent without further competition. (Acquisition ModTerm). Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management - Practicioner certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
