You will serve as a CAMPAIGN MANAGER in the Strategy & Policy Division, Strategic Planning and Policy Directorate (J5) of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will provide strategic appraisal, analysis, and recommendations to the Commander pertaining to global and theater strategy and campaigns planning.
You will promulgate Key Theater and Global Plans.
You will advise other strategic/campaign planners of the impact on individual issues of policy decisions, strategic guidance, and operational requirements.
You will maintain situational awareness of national-level priorities and strategic aims of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Department of State (DoS), ensuring these priorities are also factored into Indo-Pacific Command planning.
You will lead collaborative planning and processes shaping the command’s approach to theater and global strategy/campaigns planning.
You will socialize planning, builds consensus, and resolves differing viewpoints regarding key issues.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) serving as a strategy and campaigns subject matter expert in a combatant command, preferably in the Indo-Pacific region 2) understanding of the Indo-Pacific strategic environment 3) briefing up to the four-star level 4) training and experience with military planning processes 5) establishing/maintaining effective working relationships with counterparts from Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, service Components, and the interagency 6) writing and oral skills.
