You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the NWCF POM/BUDGET (N812), BUDGET (N81), COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT (N8) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

Duties

You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices. You will analyze and recommend cost and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organizational programs and administrative operations. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. You will perform a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities.

• This is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in applying data analysis and forecasting methodologies Experience presenting information to senior leadership Experience interpreting and applying PROGRAM OBJECTIVES MEMORANDUM (POM) and budget formulation. Experience executing monthly, quarterly and yearly budget review/reporting Experience developing, and implementing budget financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
