You will serve as Principal Deputy Program Manager for the F-35 Propulsion Program Management Office (PMO) within the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office (JPO). You will be responsible for cost, schedule, and performance of the F-35 Propulsion System. You are responsible for integrating the PMO resource requirements to support development, modernization, production, and sustainment for the F-35 Propulsion System to ensure warfighter air dominance for our joint and international fleet.

Duties
You will be responsible for synthesizing critical Propulsion PMO management issues, documentation, and relevant information to support reviews and decisions.
You will be responsible for ensuring the effective and timely integration of all Propulsion System functional responsibilities.
You will be responsible for Integrating the PMO resource requirements to support development, modernization, production, and sustainment efforts for the F-35 Propulsion System.
You will be responsible for providing budget inputs in coordination with the Director of Acquisition and Integration and the F-35 Chief Financial Officer along with evaluating the impact of new resource requirements.
You will direct the development of comprehensive product plans to ensure fulfillment of requirements, fiscal adequacy, and planned progress.
You will be responsible for assuring that all PMO planning is fully integrated across the broader JPO enterprise effort and that of other participating Services, Partners, customers, and agencies.
You will provide continuous liaison with other PMOs and Functionals across the JPO as well as Congress, military services, government, professional and industry organizations to maintain an accurate and status of the F-35 Program.
You will be responsible for interacting with other members of the Leadership Team to assure integration of program products, to identify and facilitate resolution of problems.
As PDPM for the Propulsion System, you will serve as the spokesperson for the Propulsion PMO in major program reviews, inspections, conferences, and other program evaluations and events.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12/13) grade level or pay band (NH-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
(1) Demonstrating program management experience in a large program; (2) Utilizing principles of technical and business systems and associated processes and practices used to manage weapons systems acquisition; (3) Planning for and synthesizing requirements of functional areas, including engineering, logistics, budget, configuration management and other functional specialties into integrated strategies and processes to support an acquisition program; and (4) Recognizing and analyzing problems, conducting research, summarizing results, and making appropriate recommendations..
