The Ideal Candidate will be able to provide advisory services to other Information Technology Specialists and staff in other organizations on implementing approved automated systems. Develops automated programs, using appropriate computer languages, needed to process planned automated systems.

Qualifications

All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. To qualify for this position at the IC-12 level (starting salary $94,199.00), you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Applying information technology concepts, methods, and practices to system administration services; Using performance tuning tools and systems diagnostic tools to install and maintain software and hardware;  Diagnosing and recovering failed systems. AND Experience that demonstrated accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled. This knowledge is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant analyzed a number of alternative approaches in the process of advising management concerning major aspects of ADP system design, such as what system interrelationships must be considered, or what operating mode, system software, and/or equipment configuration is most appropriate for a given project.
