You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT, BUDGET EXECUTION BRANCH of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.
Duties
You will identify, analyze and resolve a range of budgetary problems.
You will perform a variety of analytical, technical, and administrative work for substantive programs and support activities.
You will review and/or evaluate budget request, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
You will provide advice on effective methods for use of funds to support organizational plans.
You will analyze financial data (e.g. cost estimates, obligations, and expenditures)
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
GS-12
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience analyzing financial data and implementing legal and regulatory control over budgets. Navy Working Capital Fund experience preferred.
Experience applying financial management concepts, policies and procedures to meet agency goals.
Experience working with financial management systems and reporting tools. Experience with Navy-ERP preferred.
Experience identifying, analyzing and resolving a range of budget execution problems.
