This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: The US Army Garrison's Directorate of Public Works (DPW) supports the Aberdeen Proving Ground mission through effective use of energy, providing and maintaining sustainable facilities and infrastructure, and emphasizing a culture of safety.
Duties
Team Lead in the Facilities Operations and Maintenance Division located within the Directorate of Public Works, Aberdeen Proving Ground Garrison.
The team consists of maintenance scheduler-planners that reside in the Aberdeen, Edgewood, and Adelphi areas of Aberdeen Proving Ground and provide facility management services.
The Lead ensures coordination of assigned personnel to meet Aberdeen Proving Ground regularly changing facility requirements and priorities.
Distribute workload among Operations and Maintenance Division in-house trades employees in accordance with established workflow or job specialization and assure timely accomplishment of assigned workload.
Provide technical assistance in the preparation of Demand Maintenance Orders and in-house Job Orders to be executed by Operations and Maintenance Division shop personnel.
Serves as a member of the Department of Public Crisis Action Team.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes a) skilled in applying comprehensive range of principles, concepts and practices concerning equipment, facility, and service operations with complicated technical requirements that have few clear precedents or plans.; b) facilities maintenance program planning, including evaluating the condition of all facility components.; and c) capability to use computerized systems to track budgeting, prepare estimates, etc. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Information system management, Operation Management.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
