About the Position: The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14 to 15. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Serves as Branch Chief, providing top management advice on maintenance initiatives and strategies in support of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) equipment/systems.
Monitors and directs maintenance management and related operations, to include program execution.
Provides expertise in the area of Logistics maintenance systems (e.g. Logistics Modernization Program, Commodity Command Standard Systems, Standard Depot Systems, Unit Level Logistics System, Standard Army Retail Supply System, Standard and others).
Responsible for the development and presentation of maintenance budget(s) reflecting monetary requirements for production as well as required procedural/documentation updates/changes.
Make decisions on work problems presented by employees and functional personnel, sets priorities and schedules.
Consults with appropriate personnel regarding training needs to enhance mission achievements.
Attends various meetings and conferences to discuss technical matters on maintenance initiatives, maintenance program requirements, maintenance operations, complex problems, etc.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- One-year supervisory probationary period required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security clearance required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). Experience leading a team that delivers New Equipment Fielding (NEF) and New Equipment Training (NET). Experience analyzing Functional Support Agreements and Reimbursables to assess needs and resource allocations required to accomplish the mission. Experience communicating organizational policies, goals, and/or needs to external or partner organizations.
