Serves as a Management and Program Analyst in the Exploration Ground Systems Program, Program Planning and Control Division at the Kennedy Space Center and is responsible for the planning, analyzing, and administration of programmatic requirements.
Duties
Supports Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) Program Planning and Control division in specializing in either budget or schedule analysis.
Supports development of the Programming, Planning and Budget Execution (PPBE) products and analysis.
Performs all aspects of budget and financial management or schedule and risk management including recommending resource allocations based on trends, priorities, and risk evaluation.
Provides input to programmatic products addressing external reporting or data requests.
Performs evaluation of program and project plans to ensure cost, schedule, and technical integration, as well as risk balancing and ensuring resource allocations align with programmatic priorities.
Monitors budget expenditures or schedule performance to identify potential problem areas and reports to Program Planning and Control and technical management regularly on financial or schedule performance.
Requirements
- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.
- This is a bargaining unit position - American Federation of Government Employees - Local 513.
Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level.
Managing projects and resources, including monitoring costs, work, and contractor performance;
Developing annual budgets, performing financial and annual budget execution for programs and projects;
Analyzing information gathered from multiple sources and presenting that data to management for decision making.
