The Safety and Mission Assurance (SMA) Directorate, Resource and Integration Office (SA-A) at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is seeking someone to join the team as a documentation specialist. The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert for SMA documentation for the SMA Directorate and in support of the institution and programs at KSC.
Duties
Serves as a subject matter expert for documentation.
Develops, revises, evaluates, and interprets documentation.
Creates and recommends new high-level strategies in area of policy and requirements.
Assesses effectiveness of policy and requirements.
Performs Center, Office of Safety and Mission Assurance (OSMA), and other Agency documentation reviews.
Serves as audit Point-of-Contact regarding documentation for internal/external audits and assessments (e.g., Business Management System (BMS), Institutional, Facility, Operational Safety Audits (IFOSA), Quality Audit, Assessment, and Review (QAAR)).
Provides technical writing/documentation expertise to all SMA organizations and projects, as needed.
Leads or serves on teams as the SMA documentation subject matter representative or expert, as appropriate.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level:
Reviewing, writing, and interpreting documentation;
Assisting with the development of technical briefings or reports;
Maintaining quality and timely communications with managers, employees, and customers.
