You will serve as a LEAD HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION) in the Staffing Department, Code 50 of OCHR SAN DIEGO OPERATIONS CENTER.
Duties
You will communicate the organizations strategic plan, mission, vision and values, and incorporates these into the team’s goals, objectives, work products and services.
You will serve as a senior HR Specialist exercising delegated classification authority (DCA) for positions at activities for which classification authority has been delegated to OCHR San Diego Operations Center.
You will interpret and apply OPM, DoD and DoN position classification standards, job grading standards, and interpretive guidance for a wide variety of professional, administrative, technical, clerical and wage grade positions.
You will review derogatory information identified on Optional Form 306, received on candidates for employment, and determines suitability for employment, or whether the offense(s) is sufficient to bar the candidate from employment.
You will review documentation to determine if reciprocal recognition needs to be granted on a prior favorable fitness or suitability determination.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing classification work and providing a full range of classification advisory services; providing training to less experienced staff, AND performing suitability adjudication to ensure that individual employees are loyal, trustworthy, and of good character.
