About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Fort Eustis.

Duties

Serve as a Property Book Team Chief and exercises property accountability management using the Global Combat Support System Army system (GCSS-A) to support the Network Enterprise Centers (NECs) in the 93D Signal Brigade?s area of operation. Validate and verify all property book entries to include requisitions, receipts, issuance and initiates required actions for adjustment documents. Train the primary hand receipt holders (PHRH) on GCSS-A, property management, inventory management, excess management, requesting catalog data through SLAMIS, Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPLs). Prepare inventory lists, assists HRH?s as required with inventories, and adjusts property records as required. Follow guidelines in the ordering, monitoring, receipt, controlling, budgeting for and evaluating supplies required to support the mission of the 93rd Signal Brigade. Perform duties as the Government Purchase Card (GPC) establishing and maintaining a record of GPC purchases, IAW regulations and guidelines

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver?s license.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • TDY up to 20%.

Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by using Global Combat Support System in the management of property accountability; perform work assigned with the responsibility to adhere to supply regulations; verify and validate all property book transactions to include requisitions, receipts; and initiate required actions for property book adjustments. OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
