You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCESS ASSISTANT (INFORMATION SYSTEMS) in the Total Force Management Program Office of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.
Duties
You will process the full range of official personnel actions for Civil Service Mariner (CIVMAR) population in a timely and accurate manner.
You will determine the appropriate nature of action, regulatory authority, and ensuring action conforms to appropriate rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to be met.
You will determine pay based upon the Coast assigned, type of ship, and position type.
You will determine benefits eligibility, creditable service, and follow up on suspense actions.
You will determine the appropriate coding and process actions through system hardware to generate NPA.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- Relocation expenses (i.e. PCS) may be authorized in accordance with applicable travel regulations
- Overtime may be required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of experience at or specialized equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Applying HR personnel processing rules, procedures and operations in a HR automated system.
Utilizing Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Defense Civilian Personnel Data System, as well as other information systems tool.
Applying specialized personnel methods, regulations, principles and concepts.
