You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Military) in the Pay and Personnel Data Systems Division (N1C4) of the Manpower and Personnel Directorate (N1) of COMNAVRESFOR.
Duties
You will be responsible for researching records and providing guidance on eligibility for entitlements and benefits prescribed by law and policy.
You will assist with promulgation of interim policy and/or procedural guidance when necessary to supplement policy and procedures in the field.
You will advise on potential problem areas, the effects of proposed changes to DEERS/RAPIDS policies and procedures on the field activities and personnel and recommends alternatives to best benefit Navy Reserve members.
You will verify TRICARE eligibility for Navy Reserve personnel and their families and providing information to customers regarding TRICARE benefits based upon their status.
You will produce weekly/monthly scheduled Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS) reports.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing various data systems such as Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS), Benefits for Education Administrative Services Tool (BEAST), and Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) to conduct research and verify personnel data. Experience making corrections to records. Experience using directives and regulations to assist in the issuance of Identification cards. Experience using personnel data systems to extract data and produce reports. Experience providing guidance on eligibility for entitlements and benefits prescribed by law and policy.
