Duties
Reviews and manages all incoming taskers, tasks out to appropriate office, and consolidates and submits responses timely.
Develops and implements administrative procedure improvements to streamline processes.
Administers and evaluates internal management plans, direction and practices which require consideration and integration of specialized needs.
Keeps the Director and senior leadership informed daily on scheduled and projected meetings and taskings and advises as changes occur.
Prepares a variety of non-technical correspondence which incorporates the philosophies and goals of the Director and other organizational leaders.
Evaluates the impact of new or revised policies and procedures on the existing organization.
Ensures that the senior leadership has necessary materials for all meetings and briefings to include agenda items and background information on attendees.
Serves as a point of contact for authoritative information on administrative policies, procedures and requirements of the organization.
Serves as a focal point for all inquiries and administrative problems. Screens inquiries, establishes suspense dates and refers to appropriate offices for response/resolution.

- Please note, this is NOT a 100% virtual/remote position where work may be performed from any location in the US. This position is eligible for local telework near the duty station of the position, subject to management review and approval.
Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-07) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as: Applying knowledge of rules, procedures, operations and functions of an organization in order to perform administrative work. Experience in a variety of administrative areas such as transmitting information, obtaining, analyzing and assembling data for use, managing taskers and schedules, and reviewing and composing correspondence for signature.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-07 or higher grade in Federal Service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Education
GS-09 Substitution of Education for Experience: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree, may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
