As a Personnel Security Specialist, you will:

For an NQ-02 position you must have served 52 weeks at a GS-7 level or equivalent. The grade/pay band may have been in any occupation and must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade/pay band eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade/pay band, as required by the announcement. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: There is no educational individual occupational (IOR) requirement for this position. If you are substituting education for experience, Education must be obtained from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, and you MUST provide supporting documentation (transcripts).

For this position, Education may be substituted for experience at the GS-09 Level as follows:

• Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in a related field. (OR)
• 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a related field. (OR)
• LL.B. or J.D., if related. (OR)
• A combination of education and specialized experience. (Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at the GS-9 level.)
