You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the NAVAL NUCLEAR PROPULSION PROGRAM (NNPP) of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.
Duties
You will review and evaluate security related project management plans and documentation.
You will review and evaluate prime contractor security policies and procedures to ensure that established policy is promulgated from overarching policy documents to security plans and procedures.
You will review, evaluate, and ensure the upgrade as necessary, contractor controls of classified documents and information in order to maintain program continuity and ensure compliance.
You will direct, monitor, and evaluate day to day safeguards and security operations concerned with the protection of special nuclear materials, etc.
You will perform oversight of contractor security program management systems, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with directives, requirements, and policies.
You will lead or conduct inspection, surveillances and surveys.
You will perform technical analysis and testing on security plans, practices, and procedures to evaluate and advise on safeguards and security programs, and operations for the protection of national security information and assets.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower band BR-02 (GS-12) or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing guidance on security operations to ensure compliance with policies and regulations for the effectiveness and performance of a nuclear facility
