You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/SYSANALYSIS) in the INFORMATION SERVICES of COMMANDER, NAVY REGION NORTHWEST.
Duties
You will conduct operational planning (e.g., strategic planning, capital planning and investment control, workforce planning, policy and standards development) to support information technology (IT) maintenance and sustainment program needs.
You will advise end users in the implementation of information technology (IT) strategy, policy, and guidance.
You will analyze information technology (IT) systems malfunctions to implement corrective actions.
You will resolve information technology (IT) problems in response to customer reported incidents by diagnosing situations on a case-by-case basis.
You will analyze the security requirements of new applications to confirm security measures are within the organization's guidelines.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 72 within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying Information Assurance (IA) security directives to administer various Automated Information Systems (AIS) and networks; 2) Advising and providing recommendations to leadership on IA security data and/or information; 3) Using network security systems to support an organization's IA program. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
