This Program Manager position is located in the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO), Program Management Department of Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division and is established to support a major air weapons system acquisition program.
Duties
You will function as a the Futures Acquisition Integration Team Deputy Program Manager for Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program Office (JPO) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) services contracts.
You will manage the acquisition processes for the OCIO, ensuring they are standardized, monitored, tracked and administered according agency and program requirements.
You will provide contract management support for assigned air weapons system acquisition program.
You will manage cost, schedule, and performance for a major air weapon system.
You will maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders to support the success of the air weapons system acquisition program.
You will formulate acquisition and program management goals, objectives, and plans for assigned air weapon system.
You will analyze needs and synthesize requirements information to meet Program Office initiatives.
You will oversee the development of cost, schedule, and performance requirements for assigned program.
You will exercise discretion and judgment in determining whether to broaden or narrow the scope of air weapons system projects/programs.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Program Manager experience equivalent to the DA-04 STRL Pay Band or GS-Grade Level (GS-11/12) equivalent in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: (1) Applying a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage air weapon systems acquisition; (2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level procurement policies; (3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources for assigned program; (4) Demonstrated working knowledge of contract management, acquisition management and financial management to support assigned air weapons system program needs; (5) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; and (6) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems by proposing options and alternatives.
