You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST for the Logistics Outfitting Branch (N21) in the Waterfront Logistics Division (N20) of the Modernization and Installation Department (N00) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, Port Hueneme Division, Port Hueneme, California.

Duties

You will provide expert-level logistics services related to the Integration, Test and Evaluation, Installation and Life-Cycle Engineering of Logistics Modernization events, You will provide logistic services at shore sites, training commands, land-based test facilities, shipyards, and aboard ships in ports and at sea for the U.S. Fleet and Allied Nations, You will assist, as Logistics lead, in managing teams to ensure the accuracy of technical tasks for each availability, and that planned actions and reports are accomplished accurately and within scheduled periods, You will provide logistics services to ensure Combat Systems and elements are successfully supported on Surface Combatants during availability and modernization events, You will facilitate the generation and issue of tasking and associated funding to naval activities and contractors providing support services, You will perform technical review on availability logistics assessments, execution processes, and ensure LOGREPs are meeting critical availability milestones and providing timely feedback to Management, Sponsors, and Stakeholders, You will provide technical expertise to resolve issues that could affect test events or deployments, providing a recommended path forward to resolve deficiencies found during the availability period, You will submit completion reports for review, ensuring ship deficiencies are accurate and valid and valid, You will be responsible for yearly Work Breakdown Structures and updates, Task Planning Sheets, budget estimates, and Program Office Memorandum input assistance, You will develop improvements in work processes and procedures to improve productivity and value added from fleet products, You will adjust work operations to meet changing program or production requirements, utilizing available resources with minimum risk to quality of work accomplished, You will work as a member of the Leadership team to integrate department processes and initiatives in support of Ship New Construction and modernization and installation project offices.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) or grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying integrated logistics support to shipboard availabilities, contracting, modernization and maintenance (e.g., Integration, Test and Evaluation, Installation of Logistics Modernization events) for naval combat systems platforms.
